With the release of our Pride Bearing Range, Better Bearings is proud to announce our support of Minus 18, who are champions for LGBTQIA+ youth. As part of our commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, Better Bearings will be donating 5% of the profits from their pride range to Minus 18 Charity.
Minus 18 Charity is a non-profit organization that provides support, resources, and events for LGBTQIA+ youth in Australia. Their mission is to create a world where all young people can thrive, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Through their various programs and initiatives, Minus 18 Charity aims to create safe and inclusive spaces for young LGBTQIA+ people to connect and grow.
Better Bearings' pride range features our three bearings with the pride flag on the shields, perfect for skaters who want to show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. With the purchase of any item from the pride range, customers will not only get high-quality skate bearings but also contribute to a worthy cause.
“I am thrilled to support with Minus 18 Charity and support their mission of creating a safer and more inclusive world for LGBTQIA+ youth," said Kerryn Brownson, Better Bearings' Managing Director. " I am committed to promoting diversity and equality, and believe that supporting organizations like Minus 18 Charity is a crucial part of that."
Better Bearings' support of Minus 18 Charity is just one of the many ways we are working to create a more inclusive skate community. Better Bearings also gives 5% of the company profits to UN Women Australia, which means any purchase from Better Bearings also helps to support the world’s largest movement for gender equality, ensuring that women and girls are safe from violence and free to have choice and opportunity.
The pride bearings are now available for preorder from your Better Bearings Stockist or the Better Bearings website and will ship mid May 2023.
Please note that the prices for these bearings will be slightly higher due to the increased production costs. Each bearing is dipped in powder, dried, and then coated with the next color, which adds to the overall cost of production.
