Founded in Queensland, the Sunshine State, Better Bearings has proudly returned home. Darren and Emma Keen are excited to continue supporting the skating community with the high-quality bearings that have always defined the brand. Quality is never an afterthought at Better Bearings—it’s a standard we stand by. With a range of colours and three distinct styles to suit every occasion, we remain dedicated to delivering reliable, performance-driven products that skaters can trust, session after session.

Better Bearings are not only crafted to withstand the rigours of roller derby, and roller skating, they're priced competitively - so that we can all afford them...…and they’re tough!
All Better Bearings are above an ABEC 9 rating (ABEC rating...it's a thing), not so much for the speed, but for the level of attention and quality during manufacture...which as it turns out, means they'll go faster too!They're reliable and longer lasting...which means you spend more time skating, and less time mucking around with your gear.
Easy to clean and maintain, Better Bearings have really easy to remove shields, which makes cleaning easier! You can get everything you need to keep your bearings spinning in our complete bearing packs, or buy bearing maintenance and cleaning gear separately. Better Bearings uses Business as a Force for Good
Better Bearings paving the way for other skate companies to reduce their packaging and their footprint.
Better Bearings considers the environment with every descision made. We want to encourage other Skate Companies and Companies, to remove plastic from their product lines, to source and manufator products repsonsibly and for consumers to shop resonsibliy and demand that all compaines do better.
So what are we doing?
Better Bearings has eliminated plastic from our range. We use recycled cardboard materials, hex wrap, tissue paper and Better Packaging products. Our courier bags are made from plastic waste removed from the ocean.
I use an electric vehicle and our headquarters is solar powered.
Our company t-shirts are certified organic, our printer uses environmentally friendly inks. Our couriers, electricy are carbon neutral. We carbon off set our flights.
Our suppliers are BCorp where possible. Better Bearings is also striving to become a B Corp.
Better Bearings has also released the Better Parks Initiative, which helps skaters across the globe, run a community clean up in their local skate park. If possible, we send a team skater out, give prizes, make flyers and run a skate event and encourage the community to come out, have a skate, and clean up their environment.
Better Bearings is also working towards creating a circular economy.
